Laptops

A laptop is a portable personal computer(microcomputer),suitable for mobile people or travelers. It has a screen,a disc drive, the hard disk,CPU,keyboard, mouse,USB ports, speakers and some a webcam, all in one block or as one item.
Laptops vary in their costs and quality, basically, the more the money you have to spend on getting yourself one,the better the quality and with more features the laptop you will get. An example is as shown in the image above.

Other different options available in the market include:

  •  Notebooks
These are laptop look alike though way smaller in size.A smaller screen and lighter in weight and mostly do not have the disk drive unlike the laptops. They are cheaper than most laptops. They are also smaller in terms of memory compared to most laptops.

  • Tablet PC
This is a computer smaller or of the same size as the notebook computer, hence smaller than a laptop. It has a rotatable touchscreen as an input device,it can be operated using a stylus or digital pen instead of a keyboard or a mouse. They are smaller memory wise and have a smaller screen compared to standard laptops. They are more expensive than the laptops. • Pocket PC
This is a handheld-sized computer that runs the  Microsoft windows mobile operating system. Some of these devices also include mobile phone features. They can be carried anywhere unlike the laptops most of all due to the phone features hence being used as a mobile phone too.Though they lack the disk drive and have a way smaller screen compared to the laptop. They are smaller memory wise and are cheaper than standard laptops.

  • Desktops

Compared to the laptops, these are more of permanent personal computers. They are intended for regular use at a single location.
The desktop also has the keyboard, the monitor, the CPU and the mouse separate from each other unlike the all in one laptop.Quality wise you can get a laptop of high quality at a high cost and you can also get a high quality desktop at a high cost.
